We Are 4Fathers
I am Patrick Shaw, Founder and President at 4Fathers a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Fathers. I’m a single father, an active parent and a dedicated community member. I started 4Fathers because of the challenges I faced after my divorce. I was determined to maintain a healthy and consistent relationship with my son.
At 4Fathers we recognize that children growing up in two-parent households have the best chance for successful development into adolescence and adulthood. Additionally, we have examined the negative impact on children and families where the father is absent from the home and in some cases, absent from their daily lives.
4Fathers works with men to promote healthy romantic relationships, healthy parenting, effective approaches for stress management, life skill development, health and wellness practices, career planning, economic empowerment and mentorship.
